We’re excited to welcome Bridget Maloney to the Science Department at Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School!
Bridget has lived across the country, including West Virginia, Georgia, Oklahoma, Iowa, Arizona, and Texas, and has conducted research in Bermuda, the Bahamas, and Mexico. She moved to Beaumont last year from south of Houston to join her husband, Sam Coco, a Kelly alum. Together, they have five children: two Kelly graduates, one current Kelly student, and two at St. Anne.
She holds a B.S. in General Biology with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Arizona and an M.S. in Wildlife & Fisheries Sciences and Marine Biology from Texas A&M University. She’s taught many high school and college science courses at Texas A&M-Galveston, San Jacinto College, and Dickinson High School.
Bridget is passionate about hands-on, field-based science and has secured grants and partnerships with organizations like NOAA, NASA, and Texas Parks & Wildlife. Her students have participated in habitat restoration, environmental cleanups, campus sustainability projects, and more.
We’re thrilled to have her knowledge and passion on campus. Welcome to the Kelly family, Bridget!
