We're excited to welcome Tara Gay to the Kelly family!
Tara Gay joins Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School as the Director of Special Services and Head Volleyball Coach. She holds a Master of Education in Special Education and is certified as an Educational Diagnostician, Special Education Teacher (EC–12), and Physical Education Teacher (EC–12).
Mrs. Gay brings over 12 years of experience in education, including roles as a Special Education Teacher, Educational Diagnostician, Dyslexia Specialist, Coach, and Educational Leader. Prior to joining Kelly, she served as an Educational Diagnostician with Orangefield ISD and has worked in several Southeast Texas school districts supporting students with diverse learning needs. In addition, she is a lifelong volleyball enthusiast and has dedicated more than 30 years to the sport as a player, coach, and club director, helping athletes develop their skills, confidence, and love for the game at every level.
While Mrs. Gay is not a Monsignor Kelly alumna, she is a proud Port Neches native and graduate of Port Neches-Groves High School whose lifelong ties to Southeast Texas have inspired her commitment to education, athletics, and service to the community.
Outside of school, Mrs. Gay's greatest joy is her family. She and her husband, Andrew, have three children, Nicole, Aspyn, and Easton, who keep them busy with volleyball, baseball, and family adventures. She loves spending time supporting her children in their activities and believes some of life's greatest moments happen from the sidelines, in the stands, and around the dinner table with family and friends.
Mrs. Gay is excited to become part of the Kelly family and looks forward to serving the students, families, and community of Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School both academically and athletically while fostering an environment of inclusion, faith, and excellence.
