This past Monday, Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School staff collaborated with All Saints Episcopal School to explore curriculum alignment. MKCHS is dedicated to ensuring a smooth transition for students from early education to high school by ensuring a cohesive curriculum across all grades. The goal is to equip students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence for a successful high school journey. A big thank you goes to All Saints Episcopal School for their insights and commitment to enhancing our shared educational mission.

Today, our school community was deeply inspired by Bishop Toups during our weekly all-school Mass. His homily reminded us of our divine calling to share our unique talents and gifts, no matter how big or small, with those in need. We are called to be the light in the darkness, bringing hope and compassion to others.
At MKCHS we are incredibly blessed to be part of a school where we can put this calling into action through our service and community projects. Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School's youth leaders showcased their dedication and impact at the Youth Leadership Southeast Texas graduation ceremony on April 4th.
Teaming up with two other district schools and supported by seasoned members of the Leadership Southeast Texas organization, our MKCHS students spearheaded a donation drive for Family Services of Southeast Texas - Women and Children Shelter. Their efforts resulted in tangible achievements and valuable lessons learned.
At the heart of it all, our students embraced the spirit of service, collaboration, and leadership. Their commitment to making a difference in our community shines brightly, and we couldn't be prouder of their accomplishments!
Congratulations to Rafael Ornelas, Paula Vuong, Kennedy Lambert, and Gracie Bridges! Each member received a well-deserved certificate, marking the beginning of a lifelong journey of leadership and service. Here's to many more impactful initiatives ahead!
Bulldogs, we are thrilled to introduce our newest faculty member, Tarah Dahl!
Mrs. Tarah Dahl has been a science educator for over 13 years, a track and field coach for 15 years, and an Instructional Coach for one year. Mrs. Dahl earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Physiology from the University of Arizona and began her career in science working as an Exercise Physiologist at a physical therapy clinic. With a desire to become an educator, Mrs. Dahl earned a Master of Education in Science Teaching and Teacher Education in 2011. Currently, Mrs. Dahl is completing her doctoral studies at North Dakota State University and will graduate this May with her Ph.D. in Education. Additionally, Mrs. Dahl has been an AP Biology Reader for the College Board for six years. At Monsignor Kelly High School, Mrs. Dahl teaches chemistry and physics, and coaches track and field.

Today marks the annual "Spring into Action" day for MKCHS, where students from Kelly High School come together to volunteer in their community, spanning Beaumont and surrounding cities. Engaging in local organizations, charities, and school grounds, students gain valuable lessons in the importance of community service and giving back to society.
We want to express our sincere appreciation to MKCHS parents Katie Bitar, Nicole Saba, Monica Broussard, Bonnie Tortorice, and all the parent and grandparent volunteers for their outstanding efforts in making this St. Joseph's Day celebration unforgettable. Your dedication, hard work, and enthusiasm have truly enhanced the experience for everyone involved. With immense pride, we applaud our Valedictorian Ben Steinman and Salutatorian Olivia Wu, anticipating the bright futures ahead for both of you.
Fifty MKCHS students, through our Key Club, joined forces with Rise Against Hunger on campus last Saturday. In just two and a half hours, they packed an impressive 15,000 meals! While the exact destination is pending confirmation, these meals are likely headed to the Philippines. The students took charge of every aspect, from fundraising to cleanup, showcasing their leadership and dedication. Each meal bag contains rice-soy fortified goodness, providing nourishment for six people. We pray these meals provide essential support where it's most needed.
