Let's give a warm welcome to our new Assistant Athletic Director, Coach Stokley!
Hello Bulldogs, my name is Jordan Stokley, and I am excited to join the MKCHS staff as assistant athletic director and head boys’ basketball coach. I graduated from Lamar University and am currently working on my Masters in Education Administration. I have a wonderful wife named Courtney. Together we have a 2 year old son and a baby girl on the way this fall.
I have been teaching and coaching several years, most recently at St. Anne Catholic School where I was the head boys’ coach and P.E. teacher. I have enjoyed working for the diocese and am grateful for the opportunity to continue to help students grow and develop in the Catholic school environment. I have been able to experience the importance of combining academics with Catholic values to help students grow academically as well as spiritually.
I am passionate about sports, with my favorite being basketball. I feel confident that I can help develop a strong athletic program at MKCHS by encouraging students to perform at the best of their abilities while also helping them to accept challenges, develop individual skills, game knowledge, confidence and resilience. My goal is to not only focus on developing athletes, but also teaching students teamwork, time management and other skills that will help them throughout life. I am grateful for the opportunity to teach and coach your students. I can’t wait for the 2024-2025 school year!

Let's give a warm welcome our new French Teacher, Sassy Kerr!
Ms. Sassy Kerr comes to Kelly with more than 41 years of experience in teaching science, history, and foreign languages. She has sponsored state-winning TMSCA science teams for multiple years. She has mentored numerous student teachers over the years for Lamar University, as well as been named Mentor Teacher of the Year for Region V. Ms. Kerr has spoken at the state convention for administrators and conducted teacher workshops for mentor teachers at Texas A&M Texarkana. She received a Bachelor of Science in History and Secondary Education, as well as post-bachelor work in School Administration. After retiring from public education, she worked at St. Edward in Spring, retiring from there as well, and is Catechist certified in the Diocese of Galveston-Houston. Ms. Kerr began college as a language major and is most excited to return to those roots.
On a personal note, she was a competitive skater in artistic figure skating, freestyle, and pairs at a national level, which helps her understand the importance of sports and a well-rounded education. She is excited to return to teaching French and to become a French Bulldog. Go Dawgs!

EAVES IN 12TH after ROUND 1 TAPPS 5A Girls State Championship
Erin Eaves of Monsignor Kelly Catholic High School is the only girl or boy for the Bulldogs to advance to state. Yesterday was the first round of the TAPPS 5A Girls State Championship. Eaves shot 86 the first round with a 9 on the last hole to finish 12th after an impressive first round.
The championship is unfolding at Squaw Valley Golf Club in Glen Rose, Texas, near Fort Worth, where competitors face the added challenge of navigating a course saturated from earlier rainfall. Despite these obstacles, Eaves played well positioning herself for a top 10 finish. Leading in the individual girls, Jamison Louie of Fort Bend Christian leads the field, while Lutheran South sets the pace in the team standings with a score of 348 for the girls.
As the championship progresses, all eyes are on Eaves and her fellow competitors as they prepare for the final round. With only the top 10 finishers earning all-state honors. The final round concludes today starting at 8am!
Good luck Erin!!
